The Dungeons & Dragons Arc is the start of the DMTK Campaign! Same Players! New Characters, completely different story!
Our heroes are enjoying (or not) their daily lives, as they are torn from the existences they know and love, to be faced with what one can only describe as a hellish nightmare. Fiends on one side and Holy armies on the other, no one to trust but themselves and maybe each other?
About the System
Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) is the pioneer game for pen and paper RPGs. Conceived by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson through TSR and heavily influenced by the likes of Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, this game sought to bring everyone into the fantasy realm. As a player you build your own character from a list of fantasy races, magical or non-magical classes, build a personality and dive into a story with 2-3 other players. As a DM, you build a world, or take a pre-built one with a story to send your players through. While not super complex, D&D can be a bit daunting to get into, so patience is definitely a virtue as there is a bit of reading and understanding to be had.
Wizards of the Coast frequently puts out new content for DMs and players alike, so diving into a new adventure should be relatively easy. Often, preparation from the DM is reading the book and ensuring the monsters are ready. Player creation can be done simply as well, with tools like D&D Beyond’s Character creator.
D&D can be played quite easily, as long as you have pencils, character sheets and a few of the D&D books, not forgetting your friends of course.
